And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. 6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. 9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. 11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day. 14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years. 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. 20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. 24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creeps upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens. 5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. 8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; 2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. Genesis 9:6 Whosoever sheds man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. Exodus 4:11 And the LORD said unto him, Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Have not I the LORD? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall say. [Who are we to argue with God, our Creator?] Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exodus 23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before you, to keep you in the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Deuteronomy 32:18 Of the Rock that begot you, you are unmindful, and have forgotten God that formed you. 2 Samuel 22:33 God is my strength and power: and he makes my way perfect. 1 Chronicles 16:26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. 2 Chronicles 29:36 And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people: for the thing was done suddenly. Nehemiah 9:6 You, even you, are LORD alone; you have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and you preserve them all; and the host of heaven worships you. Job 4:17 Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker? Job 9:8 Which alone spreads out the heavens, and treads upon the waves of the sea. 9 Which makes Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. Job 10:8 Your hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet you do destroy me. Job 26:7 He stretches out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth upon nothing. 13 By his spirit he has garnished the heavens; his hand has formed the crooked serpent. Job 31:14 What then shall I do when God rises up? And when he visits, what shall I answer him? 15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? And did not one fashion us in the womb? Job 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given me life. Job 34:19 How much less to him that accepts not the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands. Job 35:10 But none says, Where is God my maker, who gives songs in the night; 11 Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the fowls of heaven? Job 37:18 Have you with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass? Job 38:4 Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding. 5 Who has laid the measures thereof, if you know? Or who has stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? 8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? 9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it, 10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors. 11 And said, Hitherto shall you come, but no further: and here shall your proud waves be stayed? 12 Have you commanded the morning since your days; and caused the dayspring to know his place. Psalms 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD has said unto me, You are my Son; this day have I begotten you. Psalms 8:3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained; 4 What is man, that you are mindful of him? And the son of man, that you visit him? 5 For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and have crowned him with glory and honor. 6 You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet: Psalms 9:7 But the LORD shall endure forever: he has prepared his throne for judgment. Psalms 10:17 LORD, you have heard the desire of the humble: you will prepare their heart, you will cause your ear to hear: Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork. Psalms 23:5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Psalms 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap: he lays up the depth in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9 For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. 14 From the place of his habitation he looks upon all the inhabitants of the earth. 15 He fashions their hearts alike; he considers all their works. Psalms 65:9 You visit the earth, and water it: you greatly enrich it with the river of God, which is full of water: you prepare them corn, when you have so provided for it. Psalms 68:10 Your congregation has dwelt therein: you, O God, have prepared of your goodness for the poor. Psalms 86:9 All nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord; and shall glorify your name. Psalms 89:11 The heavens are yours, the earth also is yours: as for the world and the fullness thereof, you have founded them. 12 The north and the south you have created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in your name. Psalms 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God. Psalms 93:1 The LORD reigns, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he has girded himself: the world also is established, that it cannot be moved. Psalms 94:9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see? Psalms 95:5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. 6 O, come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker. Psalms 96:10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigns: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously. Psalms 100:3 Know you that the LORD he is God: it is he that has made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Psalms 102:25 Of old have you laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of your hands. Psalms 104:2 Who covers yourself with light as with a garment: who stretches out the heavens like a curtain 5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed forever. 24 O LORD, how manifold are your works! in wisdom have you made them all: the earth is full of your riches. 30 You send forth your spirit, they are created: and you renew the face of the earth. Psalms 115:15 You are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth. [Who could better than our Creator to bless us?] Psalms 119:73 GOD. Your hands have made me and fashioned me. Give me understanding, that I may learn your commandments. 90 Your faithfulness is unto all generations: you have established the earth, and it abides. 91 They continue this day according to your ordinances: for all are your servants. Psalms 139:14 I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are your works; and that my soul knows right well. 15 My substance was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfected; and in your book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. Psalms 146:5 Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: 6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keeps truth forever: Psalms 147:8 Who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains. Psalms 148:4 Praise him, heavens of heavens, and you waters that be above the heavens. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. Proverbs 3:19 The LORD by wisdom has founded the earth; by understanding has he established the heavens. Proverbs 8:22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. 23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. 24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. 25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: 26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. 27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth. 28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep. 29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth. 30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him. 31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men. Proverbs 14:31 He that oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker: but he that honors him has mercy on the poor. Proverbs 16:4 The LORD has made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. Proverbs 22:2 The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all. Proverbs 26:10 The great God that formed all things both rewards the fool, and rewards transgressors. Proverbs 30:4 Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if you can tell? Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made every thing beautiful in his time: also he has set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 11:5 As you know not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so you know not the works of God who makes all. Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them; Isaiah 29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? Or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding? Isaiah 40:22 It is he that sits upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in. 26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who has created these things, that brings out their host by number. He calls them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one fails. 28 Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator Of The Ends Of The Earth, faints not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding. Isaiah 42:5 Thus says God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which comes out of it; he that gives breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein. 16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. Isaiah 43:1 But now thus says the LORD that created you, O Jacob, and he that formed you, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are mine. 6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth. 7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. 15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. 16 Thus says the LORD, which makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. 21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise. Isaiah 44:2 Thus says the LORD that made you, and formed you from the womb, which will help you; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and you, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. 21 Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for you are my servant: I have formed you; you are my servant: O Israel, you shall not be forgotten of me. 24 Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, and he that formed you from the womb, I am the LORD that makes all things; that stretches forth the heavens alone; that spreads abroad the earth by myself; Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. 8 Drop down, you heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it. 9 Woe unto him that strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashions it, What make you? or your work, He has no hands? 10 Woe unto him that says unto his father, What begot you? or to the woman, What have you brought forth? 11 Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command you me. 12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. 18 For thus says the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he has established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. Isaiah 48:13 My hand also has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together. Isaiah 49:11 And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted. Isaiah 51:13 And forgets the LORD your maker, that has stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and have feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor? 16 And I have put my words in your mouth, and I have covered you in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, You are my people. Isaiah 54:5 For your Maker is your husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. 11 O you afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay your stones with fair colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires. 12 And I will make your windows of agates, and your gates of carbuncles, and all your borders of pleasant stones. Isaiah 64:4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, beside you, what he has prepared for him that waits for him. 8 But now, O LORD, you are our father; we are the clay, and you our potter; and we all are the work of your hand. Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. [Praise Him that the new heavens and the new earth will be so wonderful that we won’t even remember the old (let alone long for it!)] Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations. Jeremiah 5:22 Fear you not me? Says the LORD: will you not tremble at my presence, which has placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? Jeremiah 10:11 Thus shall you say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. 12 He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by his discretion. 13 When he utters his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightning with rain, and brings forth the wind out of his treasures. 16 The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name. Jeremiah 12:3 But you, O LORD, knew me: you have seen me, and tried my heart toward you: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter. Jeremiah 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. 5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? Says the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel. Jeremiah 22:7 And I will prepare destroyers against you, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down your choice cedars, and cast them into the fire. Jeremiah 27:5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me. Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord GOD! Behold, you have made the heaven and the earth by your great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for you: Jeremiah 33:2 Thus says the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name; Jeremiah 51:15 He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and has stretched out the heaven by his understanding. Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. Amos 4:13 For, lo, he that forms the mountains, and creates the wind, and declares unto man what is his thought, that makes the morning darkness, and treads upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name. Jonah 1:17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Jonah 4:6 And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd. 7 But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered. 8 And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live. Zephaniah 1:7 Hold your peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD has prepared a sacrifice, he has bid his guests. Zechariah 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, says the LORD, which stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him. Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers? Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 4:19 And he says unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 20:23 And he says unto them, You shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father. Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. Luke 2:29 Lord, now let you your servant depart in peace, according to your word: 30 For my eyes have seen your salvation, 31 Which you have prepared before the face of all people; 32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel. Luke 3:38 Which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. Luke 11:38 And when the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that he had not first washed before dinner. 39 And the Lord said unto him, Now do you Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. 40 You fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also? John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. John 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Acts 4:24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, you are God, which have made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that is in them. Acts 7:49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will you build me? Says the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? 50 Has not my hand made all these things? Acts 14:15 And saying, Sirs, why do you these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that you should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein: Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands. 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things. 26 And has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation. Romans 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God has showed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Romans 9:20 Nay but, O man, who are you that reply against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus? 21 Has not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor? 22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction. 23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had before prepared unto glory, Romans 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen. Romans 14:4 Who are you that judges another man's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Yea, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand. 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him. 10 But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 1 Corinthians 10:13 There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, for as much as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. 8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. 9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. 12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the Author of confusion, but Of Peace, as in all churches of the saints. 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Hebrews 1:2 Has in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. 7 And of the angels he says, Who makes his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. 10 And You Lord, in the beginning have laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of your hands: Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the Author Of Eternal Salvation unto all them that obey him; Hebrews 10:5 Wherefore when he comes into the world, he says, Sacrifice and offering you would not, but a body have you prepared me: Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 10 For he looked for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he has prepared for them a city. Think about the creation around us. God has created so many different nuances of color, shape, size, texture, smell, taste and sound in our world. He is so creative and made us able to enjoy it all. God is what philosophers call the first cause. No one created Him, He always was and will be. He Authored and Began everything and all will end up just as He wills. God’s titles of Creator, Maker and Potter reveal His Power, Ownership, and Sovereignty. We are told in the scriptures above that He is worth of thanks, praise, worship and respect due to His creative works. It is easy to have faith in a God whose creative power is so incredible. And who are we (the creature-pot) to question our all-loving and ever-wise Creator-Potter about things in our lives that we do not like or understand? The fact that each of us is created in God’s image should influence how we treat each other. In the Old Testament, we are told not to murder due to this fact. This translates, in the New Testament, to how we speak about one another. Although man is a fallen race, we still have the stamp of God’s image upon us. We need to treat each other that way!
