Exodus 9:13. And the LORD said to Moses, Rise early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me. 14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon your heart, and upon your servants, and upon your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.

Deuteronomy 4:35 To you it was shown, that you might know that the LORD he is God; there is none besides him. 39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in your heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

Deuteronomy 6:4. Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Deuteronomy 10:15 Only the LORD had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day. [Only God delights in us as much as He does.]

Deuteronomy 32:12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. 31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. 39. See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. [Only God can lead as well as He does.]

1 Kings 8:23 And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keeps covenant and mercy with your servants that walk before you with all their heart: 60 That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else. [No one keeps covenant and has mercy like our God.]

2 Kings 5:15. And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray you, take a blessing from your servant.

2 Kings 19:15 And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, who dwells between the cherubim, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have made heaven and earth. 19 Now therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech you, save you us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you are the LORD God, even you only.

1 Chronicles 16:25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. [Only the Lord is worth of our supreme reverance.]

1 Chronicles 29:11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and on the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.

2 Chronicles 2:5 And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods.

Nehemiah 9:6 You, even you, are LORD alone; you have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are in it, the seas, and all that is in them, and you preserve them all; and the host of heaven worships you. [Only our God creates from N-O-T-H-I-N-G!]

Job 31:15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? And did not one fashion us in the womb?

Job 40:9 Have you an arm like God? or can you thunder with a voice like his?

Psalms 35:10 All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him that is too strong for him, even the poor and the needy from him that spoils him? [None can deliver us like our God.]

Psalms 62:2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. [Only God is our salvation.]

Psalms 71:19 Your righteousness also, O God, is very high, who has done great things: O God, who is like you! [None is as righteous as our God.]

Psalms 72:18. Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only does wondrous things.

Psalms 73:25 Whom have I in heaven but you? and there is none upon earth that I desire besides you.

Psalms 77:13 Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God? [No god can compare with the greatness of our God.]

Psalms 83:17 Let them be confounded and troubled forever; yes, let them be put to shame, and perish: 18 That men may know that you, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, are the most high over all the earth.

Psalms 86:8. Among the gods there is none like you, O Lord; neither are there any works like your works. 9 All nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord; and shall glorify your name. 10 For you are great, and do wondrous things: you are God alone.

Psalms 89:6 For who in the heaven can be compared to the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the LORD? 7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence by all them that are about him. 8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like you? or to your faithfulness around you? [No one has God's strength and faithfulness.]

Psalms 96:4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. 5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

Psalms 113:4 The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. 5 Who is like the LORD our God, who dwells on high, 6 Who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

Psalms 136:4 To him who alone does great wonders: for his mercy endures forever.

Isaiah 1:24 Therefore says the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will rid myself of my adversaries, and avenge me of my enemies:

Isaiah 2:11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be abased, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. 17 And the loftiness of man shall be abased, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. [No one, nothing will be exalted as high as the Lord.]

Isaiah 5:19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, that we may know it! 24 Therefore as the fire devours the stubble, and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 40:18. To whom then will you liken God? or what likeness will you compare to him? 21 Have you not known? have you not heard? has it not been told you from the beginning? have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? 22 It is he that sits upon the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in: 23 That brings the princes to nothing; he makes the judges of the earth as vanity. 24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. 25 To whom then will you liken me, or to whom shall I be equal? says the Holy One. 26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who has created these things, that brings out their host by number: he calls them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one fails.

Isaiah 41:4 Who has wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he. [Only the Lord calls and it is done. No one can stop Him.]

Isaiah 43:10 You are my witnesses, says the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no god formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am the LORD; and besides me there is no savior. 12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shown, when there was no strange god among you: therefore you are my witnesses, says the LORD, that I am God. 13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall hinder it? [Nothing, no one existed before God did.]

Isaiah 44:6 Thus says the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God. 7 And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them show to them. 8 Fear you not, neither be afraid: have not I told you from that time, and have declared it? you are even my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? verily, there is no God; I know not any. 24 Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, and he that formed you from the womb, I am the LORD that makes all things; that stretches forth the heavens alone; that spreads abroad the earth by myself;

Isaiah 45:5. I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God besides me: I girded you, though you have not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. 14 Thus says the LORD, The labor of Egypt, and merchandise of Cush and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over to you, and they shall be yours: they shall come after you; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down to you, they shall make supplication to you, saying, Surely God is in you; and there is none else, there is no God. 18 For thus says the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he has established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. 21 Tell you, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who has declared this from ancient time? who has told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else besides me; a just God and a Savior; there is none besides me. 22 Look to me, and be you saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Isaiah 46:5. To whom will you liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? 9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Isaiah 49:26 And I will feed them that oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunk with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am your Savior and your Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Isaiah 57:15 For thus says the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isaiah 64:4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, besides you, what he has prepared for him that waits for him.

Jeremiah 10:6 Forasmuch as there is none like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might. 7 Who would not fear you, O King of nations? for to you does it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like you. 16 The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name.

Jeremiah 14:22 Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? are not you he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon you: for you have made all these things. [Only God can give us rain.]

Jeremiah 49:19 Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

Daniel 3:15 Now if you be ready that at what time you hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, you fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if you worship not, you shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? 29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a refuse heap: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Hosea 13:4 Yet I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt, and you shall know no God but me: for there is no savior besides me. [God alone is our Savior.]

Joel 2:27 And you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. [Only the Lord is always with us.]

Micah 7:18 Who is a God like you, that pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retains not his anger forever, because he delights in mercy. [No one forgives like our God.]

Zechariah 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Malachi 2:10. Have we not all one father? has not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

Matthew 19:17 And he said to him, Why call you me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments. [Only God is truly good always.]

Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, who is in heaven. 10 Neither be you called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. [None but God is our Father, none but Christ our Master.]

Mark 12:32 And the scribe said to him, Well, Master, you have said the truth: for there is one God; and there is no other but he:

Luke 5:21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 18 No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 18 He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 5:17. But Jesus answered them, My Father works until now, and I work. 18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the Sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. 19 Then answered Jesus and said to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, The Son can do nothing by himself, but what he sees the Father do: for whatever he does, these also does the Son likewise. 21 For as the Father raises the dead, and gives life to them; even so the Son gives life to whom he will. 26 For as the Father has life in himself; so has he given to the Son to have life in himself; 30 I can of my own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father who has sent me.

John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

John 8:18 I am one that bear witness concerning myself, and the Father that sent me bears witness concerning me. 26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard from him. 28 Then said Jesus to them, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things. 29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. 38. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and you do that which you have seen with your father. 41 You do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We are not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42 Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

John 10:30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 38 But if I do, though you believe not me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me. 10 Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak to you I speak not from myself: but the Father that dwells in me, he does the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. [Jesus is the only way to the Father.]

John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they may know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 21 That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 And the glory which you gave to me I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved. [Only Jesus' name can save us.]

Acts 7:52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which showed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom you have been now the betrayers and murderers:

Romans 16:27 To God the only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen. [God is the only god who is wise.]

1 Corinthians 3:11. For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. [Jesus is the only foundation.]

1 Corinthians 8:4. Therefore as concerning the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. 5 For though there are that are called gods, whether in heaven or upon earth, (as there are gods many, and lords many,) 6 Yet to us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

Galatians 3:20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

1 Timothy 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, God the only wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1 Timothy 6:15 Who in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16 Who only has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen. [Only God has immortality, only He can give it.]

James 2:19 You believe that there is one God; you do well: the demons also believe, and tremble.

1 John 4:9 In this was revealed the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one.

Jude 4 For certain men have crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. 25 To God the only wise, our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Revelation 3:7. And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things says he that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of David, he that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens;

Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name? for you only are holy: for all nations shall come and worship before you; for your judgments are revealed.

How can our God, who we discovered in the Godhead chapter as being 3 distinct persons, be one. One reason is that in all the essential elements of Their Godlikeness, they operate in absolute unity. At times it is truly difficult to tell which one of the Godhead scripture is referring to, because they are one. Following are just a few examples. See if you can come up with more of your own from this book.

Look at creation's examples: most elements have three forms: solid, liquid, gas; we have spirit, soul, and body; objects have length, width, height. Yet the basic substance is the same in all those examples. For instance, there is a certain temperature and pressure at which water is solid, liquid, and gas at the same time (it is called the triple point of water). So it is with God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All have some different "properties" and yet are of the same essence.

Think about God's attributes. No one, no person, angel, or Satan, no one is like our Lord. Think of those who love us the most. God loves us more. Think of all the beauty around us. God is more beautiful. Think of all the power in the world. God is more powerful. Wow.
