Jehovah Rohi - Lord my Shepherd

Genesis 12:1. Now the LORD had said to Abram, Depart from your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you:

Genesis 24:48 And I bowed my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the right way to take my master's brother's daughter for his son.

Genesis 49:24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from there is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)

Exodus 13:17. And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: 18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red Sea: and the children of Israel went up armed from the land of Egypt. 21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them in the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

Exodus 15:13 You in your mercy have led forth the people who you have redeemed: you have guided them in your strength to your holy habitation.

Deuteronomy 4:5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do so in the land where you go to possess it. 27 And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the heathen, where the LORD shall lead you. 36 Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you: and upon earth he showed you his great fire; and you heard his words from the midst of the fire.

Deuteronomy 8:2 And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, and to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not. 15 Who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, in which were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought you forth water out of the rock of flint;

Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong to the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Deuteronomy 32:9 For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. 10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 11 As an eagle stirs up her nest, flutters over her young, spreads abroad her wings, takes them, bears them on her wings: 12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.

Judges 3:1. Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to test Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan; 2 Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing of it;

1 Samuel 3:21 And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.

2 Samuel 22:35 He teaches my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms.

2 Chronicles 6:27 Then hear you from heaven, and forgive the sin of your servants, and of your people Israel, when you have taught them the good way, in which they should walk; and send rain upon your land, which you have given to your people for an inheritance.

Nehemiah 9:19 Yet you in your great mercies forsook them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way in which they should go. 20 You gave also your good spirit to instruct them, and withheld not your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst.

Psalms 16:7 I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night season.

Psalms 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them is your servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalms 25:8. Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. 9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

Psalms 31:3 For you are my rock and my fortress; therefore for your name's sake lead me, and guide me.

Psalms 33:10 The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to naught: he makes the devices of the people of no effect. 11 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Psalms 48:14 For this God is our God forever and ever: he will be our guide even to death.

Psalms 71:17 O God, you have taught me from my youth: and to this day have I declared your wondrous works.

Psalms 73:24 You shall guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Psalms 74:1 O God, why have you cast us off forever? why does your anger smoke against the sheep of your pasture?

Psalms 77:20 You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Psalms 78:14 In the day time also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire. 52 But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock. 53 And he led them on safely, so that they feared not: but the sea overwhelmed their enemies. 54 And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased. 72 So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

Psalms 79:13 So we your people and sheep of your pasture will give you thanks forever: we will show forth your praise to all generations.

Psalms 80:1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, you that lead Joseph like a flock; you that dwell between the cherubim, shine forth.

Psalms 94:10 He that chastises the nations, shall he not correct? he that teaches man knowledge, shall he not know?

Psalms 100:3 Know you that the LORD he is God: it is he that has made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Psalms 107:7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

Psalms 119:102. I have not departed from your judgments: for you have taught me. 171. My lips shall utter praise, when you have taught me your statutes.

Psalms 139:9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall your hand lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

Psalms 144:1 Blessed be the LORD my strength, who teaches my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

Proverbs 4:4 He taught me also, and said to me, Let your heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. 11 I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths.

Proverbs 8:20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

Isaiah 5:19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, that we may know it!

Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Isaiah 25:1 O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things; your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

Isaiah 28:26 For his God does instruct him to discretion, and does teach him. 29 This also comes forth from the LORD of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in operation.

Isaiah 30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk you in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left.

Isaiah 40:5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh together shall see it: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it. 11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Isaiah 42:16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do for them, and not forsake them.

Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: 11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executes my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also perform it.

Isaiah 48:17 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD your God who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go. 18 O that you had hearkened to my commandments! then had your peace been as a river, and your righteousness as the waves of the sea:

Isaiah 49:9 That you may say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. 10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them. 11 And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.

Isaiah 54:13 And all your children shall be taught from the LORD; and great [shall be] the peace of your children.

Isaiah 55:4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. 12 For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Isaiah 57:18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.

Isaiah 58:11 And the LORD shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat your bones: and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Isaiah 63:12 That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name? 13 That led them through the deep, as a horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble? 14 As a beast goes down in the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so did you lead your people, to make yourself a glorious name.

Jeremiah 2:6 Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt? 17 Have you not procured this to yourself, in that you have forsaken the LORD your God, when he led you by the way?

Jeremiah 23:8 But, The LORD lives, who brought and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries where I have driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land. 18 For who has stood in the counsel of the LORD, and has perceived and heard his word? who has marked his word, and heard it?

Jeremiah 32:18 You show loving-kindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, JEHOVAH of hosts, is his name, 19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for your eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

Jeremiah 33:6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.

Ezekiel 34:6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek for them. 11 For thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search for my sheep, and seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. 13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a rich pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. 15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, says the Lord GOD. 16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.

Daniel 2:19 Then was the secret revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. 22 He reveals the deep and secret things: he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. 28 But there is a God in heaven that reveals secrets, and makes known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, are these; 29 As for you, O king, your thoughts came into your mind upon your bed, what should come to pass after this: and he that reveals secrets makes known to you what shall come to pass. 30 But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your heart. 47 The king answered to Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing you could reveal this secret.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.

Zechariah 13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my companion, says the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn my hand upon the little ones.

Matthew 2:12 And being warned by God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. 13. And when they had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be you there until I bring you word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judaea in the place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there: however, being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

Matthew 4:23. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Matthew 5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, 48 Be you therefore perfect, even as your Father who is in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 7:29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and enter not into any city of the Samaritans: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them to babes. 27 All things are delivered to me by my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son will reveal him. 28 Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest to your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 13:54 And when he had come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, Where has this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house.

Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 24 Then said Jesus to his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Matthew 20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 And whoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. [In these verses, Jesus is calling us to be like Him.]

Matthew 21:11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

Matthew 23:8 But do not be called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all you are brethren.

Matthew 26:31. Then said Jesus to them, All you shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. 55 In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are you come out as against a thief with swords and staffs to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and you did not lay hold on me.

Mark 4:1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered to him a great multitude, so that he entered into a boat, and sat on the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.

Mark 6:34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw many people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

Mark 8:31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

Luke 1:78 Through the tender mercy of our God; with which the dayspring from on high has visited us, 79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Luke 2:26 And it was revealed to him by the Holy Spirit, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 35 (And, a sword shall pierce through your own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Luke 6:36 Be you therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. [Here, Jesus is calling us to be like the Father.]

Luke 7:16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet has risen among us; and, That God has visited his people.

Luke 12:12 For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what you ought to say. 32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Luke 15:4 What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7 I say to you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repents, more than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.

John 1:18 No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.

John 2:11 This beginning of miracles Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

John 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, except God be with him.

John 8:28 Then said Jesus to them, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.

John 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be revealed in him.

John 10:2 But he that enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. 4 And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 7 Then said Jesus to them again, Verily, verily, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man shall enter, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes not, but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees: and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep. 13 The hireling flees, because he is a hireling, and cares not for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known by mine. 15 As the Father knows me, even so I know the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 17 Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again. 26 But you believe not, because you are not of my sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

John 13:13 You call me Master and Lord: and you say well; for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; you also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 16 Verily, verily, I say to you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. 17 If you know these things, happy are you if you do them.

John 14:21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him. 22 Judas, not Iscariot, said to him, Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us, and not to the world? 23 Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which you hear is not mine, but that of the Father who sent me. 26 But the Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

John 17:6 I have manifested your name to the men whom you gave to me out of the world: yours they were, and you gave them to me; and they have kept your word. 7 Now they have known that all things whatever you have given me are from you. 8 For I have given to them the words which you gave me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came from you, and they have believed that you did send me.

John 20:16 Jesus said to her, Mary. She turned, and said to him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

Acts 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Acts 10:22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that fears God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by a holy angel to send for you into his house, and to hear words from you.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19. Because that which may be known of God is evident in them; for God has shown it to them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Romans 2:5 But after your hardness and impenitent heart treasures up to yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

Romans 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teaches, on teaching;

Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written in former times were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which has been kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him. 10 But God has revealed them to us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, even, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man, except the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God; that we may know the things that are freely given to us by God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 16 For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another different kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

1 Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when you are assembled, each one of you has a psalm, has a doctrine, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.

2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place.

Galatians 1:12 For I neither received it from man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Ephesians 1:9 Having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself: 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will: 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Ephesians 3:3 That by revelation he made known to me the mystery; (as I wrote before in few words,

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive;

Ephesians 5:1 Be you therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross.

Philippians 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing you are otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this to you.

Colossians 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man has a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you.

1 Thessalonians 4:9 But concerning brotherly love you need not that I write to you: for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works.

Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

1 Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 12 To whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they ministered the things, which are now reported to you by them that have preached the gospel to you with the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

1 Peter 2:21 For even to this were you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps: 22 Who committed no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judges righteously: 25 For you were as sheep going astray; but are now returned to the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

1 Peter 4:1 For as much then as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin; 13 But rejoice, seeing you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.

1 Peter 5:1 The elders who are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight of it, not by constraint, but willingly; not for dishonest gain, but from a ready mind; 3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away.

1 John 1:2 (For the life was revealed, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show to you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us;)

1 John 2:6 He that says he abides in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 20 But you have an unction from the Holy One, and you know all things. 27 But the anointing which you have received from him abides in you, and you need not that any man should teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him.

1 John 3:16 By this we perceive the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show to his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel to his servant John:

Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name? for you only are holy: for all nations shall come and worship before you; for your judgments are revealed.

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, See you do it not: I am your fellow-servant, and of your brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

We can't always see where the paths the Lord has us on will lead us. We must trust our Good Shepherd to lead us to green pastures, quiet waters, on paths of righteousness. He is leading us to good places. Let's be trusting, listening, following sheep.

God is our great and eternal counselor. Have we asked Him for His advice? More importantly, have we followed what counsel He has revealed in His word? Only His counsel is infallible and will be true until the end. He has guided the fathers of our faith. He has promised to guide us. Do we dare to doubt and not trust His guidance? Let's look to Him for great and small areas needing guidance. Nothing is too big or small for Him to be concerned with. Think about the relational names God has (for example Bridegroom, Father, Teacher, etc.). Many are people that we would seek guidance from in the natural. Is God telling us something?

What is God's will? The Word of God reveals it to us. Also, Lk. 11:2 says that life in Heaven is God's will for us on the earth. How would God have us follow and imitate Him in our lives? Let's raise our levels of expectations of what God wants to do in this world and in our lives through us. He is our example. Let's follow Him.

There is seeming contradiction between the Teaching attribute and that of Unsearchable. God does reveal more of Himself as we get closer to Him, as is shown in the Teaching attribute. Just as our natural eyes cannot detect Ultraviolet and Infrared light rays without special equipment, some of Who and What God is, has, and does is not apparent to those not close to Him. However, I do not believe that our finite mind can receive all that God is, has, and does and understand His motives this side of eternity.
